Today was the gift of ordinary things,
a quiet morning together
and realizing that the house is
indeed empty
except for the two of
you…
a much needed haircut
from the loveliest
of hearts
beautiful .. again,
a simple trip to the grocery store
with someone
you
love
turning up the music
for a bit of a sort out and sweep
a rather gentle loving day,
the perfect balm
to a night spent comforting a large dog
during the
thunderstorm
and tonight
there is hockey
the gifts of love, kindness
and gratitude
October, I ask you,
what more
could one possibly
